Hi there! I’m so excited to meet you! My name is Hal E. Peño, and I’m your jalapeño plant. Thank you so much for planting me—I’m ready to grow big and spicy in your garden!

Right now, I’m just a little sprout with big dreams. One day, I hope to be full of delicious jalapeños for you to use in all your favorite snacks and meals. But I need your help to make it happen! Here are some tips to keep me happy:

🌱 Water, please: I like my soil moist but not too wet. Give me a drink when the top of the soil feels dry—about 1-2 inches of water a week is just right!

☀️ Lots of sun: I love sunlight! Make sure I get at least 6 hours of sunshine every day so I can grow strong and healthy.

🌟 Feed me to grow: Once a month, add a little vegetable fertilizer to help me grow tall and full of peppers.

🐜 Keep me safe: Watch out for pests or weeds that might bother me. A clean space helps me stay happy and healthy!
