Day 13
Sun and Shade

Garden pellets need full sun, which is 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight per day. If you don’t have a spot in your yard that gets that much sun, you can grow garden pellets in a sunny window. Just be sure to rotate the container every few days so that all sides of the plants get some sun.

Here are some tips:

Choose a spot that gets full sun.

  • Water the pellets regularly, especially during hot weather.
  • Remember that your plants can get “sunburn” if they are out too long, so bring them inside if they start to wilt or have discolored leaves.

You are doing great! Keep an eye out for emails from Growums, and if you need more information, check out our full curriculum.

I have such a black thumb. Finally with my growum kit we’ve been able to grow herbs. My 5 year old enjoys watching the instructional videos. We love growum!

Easy to use & child friendly. Can’t wait to eat the salad we’re going to grow in our own backyard! We absolutely love the Growums and highly suggested them to anyone. They would even be great for adults living in a city without access to a large garden.
